Richard Wilson (natural July 9, 1936) is a British actor and theatre director, best known for swimming Victor Meldrew in the popular BBC situation comedy One Foot in the Grave.
He wwhen natural as Ian Colquhoun Wilson (or even Iain Richard Wilson, based on data from a Internet Movie Database1) in the Scottish town of Greenock. Once he went into acting, he got to vary his title because a second actor was already known as Ian Wilson.
Inside 1994, Richard Wilson was awarded the OBE for services to drama as a director and actor.
Within 1996, he was elected Pastor of the University of Glasgow for a period of trey years. He was to exist as installed at the ceremony to exist as held in 24 April that year.
